you really went off with this, Andy!

I'm a newer lover to jazz, because the versions I heard always most certainly sounded like the elevator music you referenced. But as I explored a bit more, I realized how layered jazz is. This piece really got to the heart of all that. thank you!

Thank you for reading, Kamil! I didn't start really listening until this year either, but once I tuned in, a whole new world opened up.

I teared up reading this. I often find myself down rabbit holes of despair or gloomy topics and then feel guilty for wanting to share that. After all that's not all I'm interested in 😅 It just seems that I am equally interested in making sense of chaos. I love music and the jazz analogy made me tear up because it made so much sense. Not always predictable enough to dance to on first listen. But it definently taps into something emotion wise and that journey is indeed validating. There are beautiful things among the chaos and both the ugly and beauty can be acknowledged in our lives. Thanks so much for sharing. This was beautiful 🥺😭🙏🏿

This was so beautifully written. I’m going to send it to my dad. He’s an elder bass player. I’m sure now he found solace in his music. And so do I!
